Introduction to Object Rexx OLE Interface to Microsoft Excel
Starting from the very beginning, Lee will demonstrate how to automate MS Excel using OLE.   Learn how to open an existing workbook, create a new workbook, read data in cells, place data and formulas in cells, plus many more of the common spreadsheet functions.   Lee will provide information on how to use the macro feature of Excel to expose the objects and methods required to automate Excel with a Rexx program.

Introduction to Java Programming Using NetRexx
Looking for a fast and easy way to create powerful Java programs?   Not wild about having to learn a new C-style language to do it?   Aren't really sure if this whole "object-oriented" idea is for you?   NetRexx is the answer.   Building on the philosophy of the Rexx family of languages, NetRexx allows you to write object-oriented programs in a human-oriented language.   What you write in NetRexx will run anywhere that there is a Java Virtual Machine.   Chip will show you the minor differences between NetRexx and Classic Rexx.   Previous object-orientation not a prerequisite.
